P-touch Design&Print is a free application for use with Brother P-touch Label Makers and P-touch Ribbon and Decorative Tape Printers that have Bluetooth® technology. Design labels on your Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and print them using the Brother P-touch CUBE (PT300BT) or P-touch CUBE Plus (PTP710BT) label makers. Does not appear to work w Apple KB iPad Pro

Overall, I like the Brother "Cube" label maker for occasional labeling tasks. Since I got it, I have used is only w my iPhone, no issues. I had occasion to try it w/ my iPad Pro recently and it was buggy. First, it wouldn't find the app at the App Store. So I downloaded from iCloud. Next, after I signed the EULA, it promptly shut down repeatedly. I deleted app and reinstalled and found it would only open initially if iPad was in "portrait " position. Then I could not make a label— no cursor appeared in text box and Apple KB was unresponsive. As soon as I disconnected the KB and the on-screen KB appeared, I was in business. I also found that after I started using the app I could turn iPad to landscape position w/o crashing the app.
In summary, the App works w/ iPad Pro but with some issues. Hopefully the developers will see this and fix in next version.

Huge Design Flaw - Waste of Time & $$

My biggest gripe with this app has been that you have to search for your device and sync it every single time you want to use it! Every single other device and app I have, it's a one time sync, and it's automatically remembered... not with this! (HUGE DESIGN FLAW!) So, if you think this would be handy for a quick label, think again... Such a pain to go through all of the steps, it's hardly worth it...

Knowing that, and having waited until I have several labels to do at once, now my bigger gripe is that I CAN'T ACCESS SAVED LABELS TO EITHER EDIT OR PRINT. No matter how many times I tap on one of my saved labels, I can no longer access it. It used to annoy me when I'd have to tap on a label a half dozen times in order to access it, but now I can't access any at all! This happens on both my iPhone and my iPad, so it is clearly an issue with the app.... so incredibly frustrating and time consuming. If you're considering purchasing the Brother P-Touch Smartphone Dedicated Bluetooth Label Maker, do yourself a favor and just flush a $50 bill down the toilet and avoid the aggravation.

So disappointed!!!

I purchased the P Touch Cube earlier today and was so eager to begin labeling and getting things organized in my kitchen. I've been using the program for approximately 45 minutes and have already discovered two functions that don't work properly that are demonstrated on the online tutorial. The current version of the app software does not allow you to turn off the tape feed when chain printing as is indicated in the tutorial this means a LOT of tape is being wasted. Secondly, when I attempt to create my own label the app closes entirely when I attempt to change the label width from .97" (which the Cube can't print) to something else. This means that you can not customize a label with the Cube since it can't print that width. It seems to me that since the app knows that I am using a Cube it shouldn't offer the option to create a custom label if that's a limitation of the label maker. Because this app is so bad, I have no other choice than to return the Cube, I am so disappointed.
